After starting as a small family-run operator we have quickly developed a reputation for outstanding quality of service and subsequently we now look after the clients from several high-profile international tour operators as well as our own direct clients. We work very hard to maintain and continually improve our standards of excellence, and we take great care to add that personal touch, and meticulous attention to detail that sets us apart from our competitors.

As President and founder of the company, Souriya brings his extensive skills and business experience to the proceedings with 34 years industry experience at SITA from 1975 to 2009, including several years as Company Director. Also highly educated, and with a comprehensive knowledge of the growing Laos inbound tourism industry, Souriya spotted a gap in the market for a local tour operator that provides a genuine, quality, and highly personalised service. Souriya decided to put his considerable expertise in services and company management to good use and thus Namxan River Tours was born. Always astute, Souriya recognized the need to operate responsibly at all times with predominantly Laotion staff to ensure long term sustainability for the whole country, as well as having the foresight to employ a foreign expert on an advisory basis to help bridge the sometimes complex cultural divide, so that our guests are properly taken care of to ensure the best experience possible.

Vannapha THEPHANOURAK (Kai) General Manager |
As General Manager, Kai has been responsible for all aspects of the business since its inception in 2007. Having spent a large amount of time traveling Laos extensively, no one else is better qualified to lead the way in innovative tour operations in Laos. After completing her seven year architecture degree she was persuaded to change careers and join the family business to bring her unrivalled country knowledge and expertise to spearhead the company. Also fluent in 3 languages and having taking part in various government and non-governmental volunteer projects throughout Laos she has a truly unique knowledge of her home country and a very forward-thinking, visionary and dynamic approach. Evidence of this can be seen in various aspects of the business including our responsible tourism mission and our highly personalized service. |

Somvang VILAYSOUK (Boo) Accounting
|
Highly educated, Bou graduated from her five year Economics and Business Management degree before undertaking further courses in Business Strategy Research and Accounting. Fluent in three languages, she then went to become a tour guide in Laos looking after clients from all over the world. She has traveled extensively including accepting a post as Ambassador for Laos at an Asia-Pacific convention in Japan. Having been here since the business was formed she brings her combined in-country expertise and business credentials and is instrumental in ensuring that we maintain the highest standards in everything we do. She still on occasion works as tour guide when required.
